Our story
Double B was born from a shared belief: that life-changing care should be accessible to more people. What started as a personal journey became a lasting mission.
The meaning behind "Double B"
The name Double B holds deep personal significance. Founder Pam Brown and her husband, Geno Basset, shared the initials that inspired it. Even before the foundation existed, hearts seemed to appear everywhere, on walks, along trails, and in unexpected moments. Friends noticed them too. Over time, these moments became a quiet reminder of connection, love, and purpose.
Double B also honors a generational lineage of healing. Pam’s father and grandfather were both neurosurgeons, each devoted to caring for others and carrying a “B” name. Their legacy laid the foundation for a mission rooted in compassion and care.

Care that changed everything
Pam and Geno personally experienced the transformative power of integrative health, therapy, and neurofeedback. These services supported them through seasons of health challenges, especially during Geno’s illness.
They saw firsthand how effective coordinated, whole-person care could be, and also how inaccessible it often is. Many services, while deeply beneficial, remain out of reach for those facing financial barriers.
Why we exist
After Geno passed, Pam felt called to carry forward the dream they shared, one rooted in compassion, access, and hope. Double B was created to honor Geno’s life by extending the integrative care that supported them to others who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
Today, Double B provides grants for integrative health care, therapy, and neurofeedback, helping remove financial barriers to care that can be life-changing. The mission is simple: expand access to trusted, collaborative care and support individuals and families on their path toward healing and well-being.
